Vendors
We work closely with many of the industry's leading vendors to ensure that each solution we design takes full advantage of the most current and capable technologies. We also choose to work with companies that share our commitment to quality and customer service. We are proud to have developed long-term, close working relationships with many of our vendors, which helps to ensure access to the exact resources required for each project. The following is a partial list of our vendors.
- Actel manufactures FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) that are used in many Martin Company projects.
- Analog Devices manufacturers a large number of very diverse linear semiconductor products. They are credited with making analog design simple by the way they originally packaged and specified operational amplifiers.
- Manconix Inc. provides large volume surface-mount and through-hole electronic assembly. They are qualified for regular and high temperature solder.
- Microchip provides inexpensive, low power micro-controllers known as the PIC family. They are now expanding into other areas such as analog parts.
- Xilinx is a very large volume FPGA manufacturer. FPGAs were originally used as logic replacements but now many different functions can be integrated into one programmable chip.
- Altium (known as Protel before 2001) was the original Orcad-compatible, Windows schematic and PCB layout package. It now includes simulation, FPGA design, schematics and PCB layout, all in one integrated package.
- Texas Instruments manufactures the TMS320 line of DSP chips in Stafford, Texas, within 15 miles of Martin Company's office. Originally used for specialized, high-speed applications, this product line is now being used in many varied applications
