History and Values

Our Mission

Martin Company provides excellent electronics engineering and manufacturing services to industrial clients. We enjoy what we do, take pride in our work, and treat others the way that we want to be treated. We utilize the latest and best technology for both our customers and our own internal processes. Since 1980, these principles have resulted in long-term business relationships and referrals to new clients and colleagues.

Our History

Martin Company was founded by John Martin on November 1, 1980 in the Westbury Square area of Houston, Texas. He had previously worked with Western Geophysical and Analog Devices and believed that there was a market for precision analog circuit engineering design services.

Martin Company has provided electronics engineering and production services to the following industries:

  • Oil & Gas
  • Sub-sea
  • Medical
  • Food Industries
  • Semiconductor
  • Transportation
  • Seismic
  • Petrochemical
  • Telecommunications

We began in analog circuit design, which continues to prove the most effective solution in certain applications. As the digital age has evolved, we have expanded into microcontrollers, FPGA design, RF design, digital signal processing, mechanical packaging, software, intrinsic safety certification, production, testing, and repair.

We have engineered the measurement of:

  • Strain
  • Temperature
  • Corrosion Rate
  • Rotation
  • Proximity
  • Acoustical Energy
  • 1 Microvolt Signals
  • Vibration
  • Pressure
  • Magnetic Energy
  • Oil Well Depth
  • H2S Concentration
  • Distortion
  • Signal/Noise Ratio

Most of our projects today consist of a processor appropriate to the application, a programmable digital gate array and an assortment of data acquisition or input/output devices.
