Martin Company is an ISO-9001 certified electronics engineering, design, and manufacturing company located near Houston, Texas. In 37 years, we have completed over 2500 projects. We measure the quality of our work by the number of repeat and referral customers that each project produces.

What We Do

At Martin Company, we plan projects, do product research and development, draw schematics, lay out pc boards, write software/firmware, assemble and test prototypes, and document designs for production. We manufacture both low and high temperature electronics.

Are your electronics afraid of lightning??

They should be! You may have designed or bought protection electronics to prevent damage to a system or circuit due to lightning in an outdoor application. If so were you able to successfully simulate a lightning strike to prove that your protection works? Following is what our lightning simulator does to a CMOS chip when connected directly. This is the effect of 2500 volts at 166 amps for several microseconds equaling about 6 milli-coulombs. We were able to couple this energy into a system and reliably blow up the same circuitry as was being damaged during lightning storms. This video shows an interactive 3D plot of statistical values calculated from a multi-channel data acquisition system. The graph supports standard zoom, pan, and rotate controls, as well as multiple visual styles. The visualization software and data acquisition system were both engineered by Martin Company.
